Kidsfaire

The Kidsfaire shift slots are rapidly filling up. This event is for members signed up on the AZCorsairs.com database, or official volunteeers, and is open to ALL ages.


Kidsfaire!
Friday September 19th NOON! - University of Phoenix Stadium
All Hands On Deck, to set up and prepare the kidsfaire.

Shifts (thus far):

Friday 19th
Set up NOON - 3PM (sooner if we have plenty of hands) Everyone who signed on please. Many Hands make for light work and we all need time to prepare for the TLAPD night in Tempe.

Saturday 20th
Set up (9AM) - Alize, Daemon Silvertongue, Madam LaCroix (overflow volunteers welcome)
10AM - 2PM - Blaze, Tatsu, MoonMermaid, Talena, Max (overflow volunteers welcome)
1PM - 5PM - Blaze, Talena, Tatsu, MoonMermaid, Max (overflow volunteers welcome)
Tear Down (5PM-?) - Blaze, Tatsu (overflow volunteers welcome)

Sunday
Set up (7/8AM) - Anyanka, Sam, Blackstrap, Pirate Claus (overflow volunteers welcome)
10AM - 2PM - Anyanka, Sam, Blackstrap, Pirate Claus(overflow volunteers welcome)
1PM - 5PM - Blackstrap, Angel, Marcel, Blackheart
Tear Down (5PM -?) - Blackstrap, Angel, Barbarossa, BriteRaven
Face Painting - Max
Photos - Santa
Make & Take Flag

Full volunteer list:
If I did not place you in a time slot you are lucky, or not on my crew. I am not certain of everyone's transportation needs or employment schedules, so I leave it up to you to come during a time good for you. I live at 59th Ave & Peoria, so on the dates and time I (or Madblaze) am signed on for I am happy to carpool with any in the area.

If there is a problem with any of the times please let me know and I will be happy to make adjustments, so long as no one is sitting alone for four hours or more.

I have many mardi gras necklaces, and some of the gems from the advertising event plus some wall hanging/back drop type items if there is a table needs decorating, and a large foot locker which can be used for a treasure chest if need be.

I was going to get some glitter and hand out those little flat marble jewels to the kids, as mermaid treasure. I will need TONS!! I useually get them at the dollar store and have bought alot but I think I may need more if anyone happens to have any they want to donate to my treasure box, I'm also putting lil' sea shells in there ;)

people who are passing out coins/booty, should have a little, carry-able treasure chest to hand booty out of? Arrg? I got one that I keep me cards in, an another me Dread Pirate game is in, an I'll bring "em.

thar be a saturday afore this right? hit up a goodwill they have lots of plastic mardi gra styled beads for as little as 1.99 per 10 to 20 pack of necklaces and sat its 50% off everything in there so ye might be a'wanting to check one out Captn

Update:
Instead of purchasing the items on the list e-mailed to them, the Kidsfaire will be giving us $150 to spend on supplies and hand outs.

Here is the allocation thus far, but if any of you have a better deal I am game.

$3.99/ 400 plastic coins (Party City)
or
$2.99/72 feet string plastic pearls (SAS)

Blackheart has requested some of the monies for use in purchasing reems of black craft paper.

$50> for face painting supplies.

Blackheart says he has paper for map/telescope making.
We are still collecting Paper Towel rolls.
Blackheart has stickers and stamps for the crafts too.

Any and all input is welcome.
