3 days in the beautiful desert full of leather, mohawks, football pads, chains, motorcycles, sandrails, ATVs, muscle cars, dust, water cannons, bon fires, fire-eaters, live music, the smell of gasoline and Vegemite!

Kinda like a post-apocalyptic Burning Man…without the hippies!


*Ticket price if purchased ON or AFTER June 6th, 2009: $75
*Ticket price if purchased AT the event (subject to availability & CASH ONLY will be accepted!): $85

You will receive your exclusive event wristband via snail mail during the month of September 2009 (not before). If you do NOT have a wristband on during the event, YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED INTO *ANY* PART OF THE **GATED** EVENT and you will be escorted off premises.

ACTIVITIES:
*Overnight camping (must have a Road Warriorized/Mad Maxed encampment, pavillion, RV, trailer or "hovel"!)

*Off-roading & 4X4ing – All off road vehicles MUST be "Road Warriorized/Mad Maxed" (helmets required on all ATVs)

*Best Road Warrior-ized CAR SHOW / vehicle contest w/prizes

*"Off-Road Warrior" Race w/prizes

*Best Road Warrior Costume Contest w/ Prizes

*Fosters in kegs and a Vegemite eating contest! (THIS should prove hilarious!)

*Showing of the entire "Mad Max" trilogy back to back on a HUGE outdoor movie screen Saturday night while we party the night away!

*You get a cool commemorative t-shirt of the event and memories that will kick the ass of ALL OTHER MEMORIES!

*You have to bring your own off road vehicles, gas, safety equipment, camping equipment, firewood, water guns, food, drinking water, alcohol (Fosters beer provided) and costumes.


*NO REAL GUNS, LIVE AMMO or SHOOTING ALLOWED – NO EXCEPTIONS!*
Do you make props, costumes or have off-road vehicles to rent and would like to offer your services to attendees of this event? Email me or post a comment on this blog and we will cross-promote each other!

If you belly dance, fire eat, play in a band or perform some other cool act (NO FLESH ACTS - HANGING OR POKING, ETC.
sorry!) and you can wear a costume that has a "post-apocalyptic" feel to it, email me ASAP! This is the 1st annual event, and most of the costs will come out of my pocket or breaking even, so I can't pay, but you will get free entry to the event and plenty of free press as well as a kick ass time!

The new event site has finally been chosen and
confirmed!
It will be at the dry lake bed in "Gyrocoptor Cove" at
El Mirage, CA! And YES, that's the official name of the
area, we did not re-name it!

You can Google Earth the above lat. & lon. to find
directions from your home, as there is no exact address.

Q: Why the need for a NEW site?
A: After exploring the old site thoroughly, we found it
to be extremely rocky and would prove very uncomfortable
and hard to clear for the campsite. There was also a
grade to the Bartertown side that the Thunderdome would
not sit well on. Another reason was that it was a bit
difficult to get to the site itself from the freeway as
well as being way to accessible for "lookie-loos".

Directions from San Bernardino Areas
Highway 15 North to Highway 395 North
Highway 395 to Rancho Rd. in Adelanto
Turn LEFT on Rancho Rd.
At stop sign turn RIGHT on Koala Rd. (YES, KOALA!)
Koala Rd makes sharp curve to left which is El Mirage
Rd.
El Mirage Rd. to Mountain View Rd.
Turn RIGHT on Mountain View Rd. - Arrive at El Mirage
Recreation Area
Turn LEFT on Bella Vista Dr. - You will drive NE all the
way to the back of the dry lake bed at this point to the

Wow! Road Warrior is my favorite film of all time. I've made multiple spiky costumes in its honor. I need to get a job and start saving up. I know there is a gentleman who lives in AZ that has a replica of Max's Interceptor.
