Sea Dog Nights

Attached is a link to a pirate event in Oregon. We just missed it this year but it is a possibility for next year. We may be able to drum up ticket sales for our Aldea 2010 if we attend. (oooh that rhymed)

This is a long standing pirate/gypsy event and if nothing else we can steal their ideas for pirate ships! Oh yeah you know it. Follow the links to pictures of land bound pirate ships......

Oregon is a long ways to go. If we want to do an expedition I would recommend Ojai Pirate Festival in California last part of September. It is a very large pirate themed festival and we're more likely to entice people from there then Oregon, not being quite as far. I would like to see a Corsair expedition to this. Ask my crew members Barbarossa ,Briteraven or Nine Lives about this event , we went to it a couple of years ago. Nothing but pirate merchants and encampments. Like the Ren faire here Sunday is no different then Saturday and you can see the whole thing in one day, but if you have the time it's nice to attend both days. There is camping at the park its at. We could set up an encampment within the festival itself and represent. It's just north of Los Angeles and about a seven hour drive from here. There are hotels close by in Ojai, about ten minutes from the festival for those who can't camp (like me). I know times are tough but if we could do this in force, what a way to show the California pirate who we are. Would be good for recruiting attendees and dealers. If we push it right we could get enough coming for the week-end to do Aldea as a small con/festival nest year, Fri, Sat,Sunday. If I remember correctly it also happens in mid-spring. If any of you are interested let's talk about at Captains meeting. And due to previous expeditions to California by the Sea Gypsy the Arizona Corsairs already have a good well known name among the California pirate community. We be welcomed to pillage, plunder etc. with them. Arrrrgh.
