Who would be interested in a rapier/sabre practice?

Or if you would like to learn the noble art of fencing...lemme know.

You'd better check with the park before you go out there. I tried training my crew on Thursday and they ran me off and threatened to call the police. They said I have to be there on Wednesday with everyone else for insurance reasons!

That's odd. I've been going down to that part with my guys and fighting there for years now and they have never bothered me. I usually fight in about the same area as the SCA does and I usually only limit the combat to shinais, but it's never been a problem before.

I'll be there to see WTF! Do you guys have an arrangement with the parks department or something?

Ive never spoken with anyone from Parks and Recs officially. We've been fighting/practicing at Encanto, Thunderbird Paseo and Rose Mofford parks for ...3 years now and no one has ever bothered us or said anything before...Im not sure if it's the fact that traditionally we've limited ourselves to mainly shinais, or the fashion that we conduct our training in, or some combination thereof, but it's never been an issue before. I'll look for you on Friday! Here's my cell number in case anyone needs directions/location 623.202.1616.

You'll be at Encanto, right?

Yes, in the south field near the picnic tables by the pool (on the west side of the field).

Woo-hoo. We get to play with nice, safe, sharp swords. :)
I work every night except Sun & Mon, but I'm trying to do something about that ... once I do, Friday would work for me. Keep us posted!
