wench or seadog?

I don't know if I should go for the wench look or the female pirate bonny look for my costume. I don't want to spend alot of money but my sewing skills are only mediocre. I could go and buy a costume but I don't want to look lame with a preset costume either! any suggestions?

i only go out as a female pirate, no wench for me! the weapons and hat (and coat) seem to make the biggest difference .

The thing about a pirate, is that they are each individual.
They each have their own idea about what they like to wear.
So, my suggestion to you is...

Care not what others think, you are the one wearing the clothes, pick what you want.

Alright lass, from my experience and limited yet growing knowledge of pirate, wrench, gypsy wear...I would have to agree with Tabbicatt. It depends on you! How you feel, what you want people to see you as, and especially what you are comfortable in. Pirates have a many look to them, wenches tend to show lots of clevage, and gypsies just about go both ways. So, I may have helped or just frustated ya more. Either way, find yourself, express yourself!

There always Saver's or Ross for a inexpensive mix of something, too!

Hit the thrift stores. Goodwill, Salvation Army ect. You might be surprised at what you can find.
