California passed a law that makes it illegal to smoke in your car with a minor in your car.......

I believe that your children should not be exposed to your bad habits, but this is ridiculous! Why don't they pass laws that are more important?

looks to me as they just want to find another way to get people to pay more tickets to get more money! what's next? lets make it illegal to chew your nails in public!!

It is an invasion of privacy and it is not the governments job to tell me what do do in MY car with MY children whom I take care of in MY car that I bought with MY money that I earned after THEIR taxes?!!

Shouldn't common sense be enough for people not to smoke around the little monsters? Though I suppose that is not so common anymore. And, yes, it would be the individuals hard earned money that would be going into the medical costs of blowing nicotine and carcinogen clouds at his/her offspring. The law is foolish, but it sucks that the rest of the world usually pays.
