The Arizona Corsair Network

Ahoy mateys!
I'm an avid gamer. However I don't see many games about pirates. There are, however, two very large games based on sea faring swashbucklers. These are MMORPGs (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games).
One is Pirates of the Burning Sea. This one seems really detailed oriented and you can select what nation you may represent (England, France, Spain), or you can be an outright & true pirate and serve no one but your self. With all this detail the price per month is about $15.

The other is Pirates of the Caribbean Online. Made by Disney the ones who brought us those wonderfull movies. This one seems okay. It's got a moderate level of detail (including voodoo powers). However it seems to have large amounts of inconsistancies. The Vile Beckett is still alive apparently. This one is free for basic service and about $9 for unlimited service.

Just thought I'd point these out if anyone was interested in bein' a virtual pirate. Also I wanted to know if anyone was currenty playing these and what there thoughts about the games were.

Seafight is OK, kinda hard to build up with all them guilds teaming up little wimps with monster ships so the little guy can get exp. by killing your' ship without risking his own, but I'm workin at it and when I get big enough, I'll start an Azcorsair guild, and I'll WRECK them other a**holes! Dunno if your' local, but me an Gato like ta get together an play 7th Sea, a pirate card game, kinda like Magic, the gathering.

Sid Meier's Pirates is still the best computer pirate game around. Redjack was lots of fun but a do it once and then it's always the same. Pirates Of the burning sea is new and am still figuring out how to play. The best overall pirate game I've come across is the CCG 7th Sea, we still get together and play it often. There are a ton of pirate games out there but only a few good ones.

PotBS - You can already tell I've been playing this one since it came out...missed my chance to try beta.
I haven't played since just after they added a second class for Pirates, but it was a great game! It is kinda rough if you're just starting out. I had to leave the game before the server merge, but I was a bastard of pirate working a small secret group inside "Riders on the Storm". I'm going to join up again this week and cause some MAYHEM!!! Let me know if anyone else plays or is thinking of joing up!
Sid Meier's Pirates was a great game, but the MMO is a whole lotta fun!
