Ouch, but I have new pirate scars on my chest!

Just wanted to let everyone know that this last friday I was admitted to the hospital for acute pancreatitis. It took 3 days for the doctors to get my pancreas back to stable condition. I didn't eat or drink for almost 4 days! After 2 ct scans, 2 ultrasonic scans and a nuclear scanner test it was determined that my gallbladder had many stones and one had discharged into my pancreas which caused the acute pancreatitis.
So Monday I had a operation to remove my gallbladder. While removing the gallbladder they found I had a hernia near my belly button so they fixed that too. I was discharged yesterday and recovering at home. I should be back to normal in about a 8 days. I have very good drugs so I'm not in pain. Didn't want any rumors on what happened to me so pass this around that I'm doing ok. Briteraven is doing fine for going threw this drama the last 5 days!

Are you mended now? Sounds like quite the ordeal!

I am checking in with you in regards to the [small bar?] we'd talked about borrowing for the April Dark Ones party. I have posted the location under Events, and it is now basically one week away. Feel free to email me directly at mgrady at eigi dot com so we can better coordinate. I don't think we'll actually be using it as a bar -- but it's a great looking prop, and seems appropriate for being somewhat makeshift on an island. ;) If you have anything else we can use, that'd be great too. The party will be held at a home in Tempe (very near Rural & I-60), and I'll be starting to take stuff over there pretty soon for early setup.
