Kids Faire 2008 Information and Volunteers Needed!

Ahoy mates!

As many of ye know the Corsairs 'ave been asked once again t' play a part at the Kidsfaire at the University of Phoenix Stadium on September 20th & 21st. We will be looking fer a few good pirates to assist in this event and offer suggestions as well.

There will be four shifts to work on each day. Please leave yer mark, call or e-mail, Captain Max or Captain Blackstrap.

Set Up (8:00AM ish)
10:00AM - 2:00PM
1:00PM -5:00PM
Clean Up (5:00PM ish)

Captain Max has offered to do face painting
Pirate Claus has offered to do photography

Don't worry, everyone gets busy or forgets to check on messages.

If you are not busy on Sunday, the 10th, around 4:30 PM, there is a group of us that practice a sword fighting routine. I see no reason not to use that time to practice the skit as well. If you have Max's number, give him a call for directions, if not I will give you my number on Saturday at the Coffee House.

i talked to my work to see if we could set up a booth outside my job to advertise for this event and they loved the idea i work ata goodwill on dobson and gaudulupe or however ya spell it lol so if any of you are interested in getting more pubicily to get a bigger number on people to know about our event let me kno so i can tell my storemanagers so they kno whatday or days to expect us outside my work if ya interested

What sorts of advertising is Goodwill allowing you to do? Will they object to a run through of Blackheart's G-rated skit? You are awesome for offering to set this up!

it would be out in front of the store and yeah so long as its grated i dont see them really objecting to it but as i said i'll need to kno what all to expect from our pirates as the store will benefit from the pubicily just as much as our event lol

hey you all i double checked with my store manager shelly and she informed me i need a detailed list of what all she can expect so she can show it to our goodwill brass lol their thinking of cordinating a goodwill sale day at the same time so we both benefit the most of it the store for sales and us for pubicily so let me kno asap i'll need a detailed list of what all we're gonna go by the 12th of this month as that is the next brass meetin my e-mail is [e-mail] if any of you wish to contact me direct and my Captain has my cell # as well

It would be wonderful if Goodwill would allow a short sword demo, but we should not hope for that, I assume. The skit is Blackheart's baby, so it would be best posed to him if we are to perform that. Blackheart should also have the flyers, business cards, t-shirts, etc that would be useful at such an event. If he says go on any of those things that is what we can expect to be there.

So, let your higher ups know; there may be t-shirts sold, flyers and business cards handed out. A possible sword demo, and a short (5 minute), PG skit to be played out. We will need at least a 20x20 space for us to act and fight in. We will need a space for a table and a table and chairs if they are available to us.

Again, this is all based on if Blackheart will allow us access to the materials and the skit.
