this one be mine please feel free to post up the full lyrics of ye own as well,

yo ho ho an' a bottle O rum

15 men on a dead mans chest

yo ho ho an' a bottle O rum

drink and the devil had done fer the rest

yo ho ho and a bottle O rum

the mate twas fixed by the bosun's pike
the bosun brained with the marlinspike
an' cooky throat twas marked belike
it been gripped by fingers 10
an' there they lay all good dead men
like break o day in a boozing ken

yo ho ho an' a bottle O rum

15 men on the whole ship's list

yo ho ho an' a bottle O rum

dead an' be damned an' gone with the whist
the skipper lay with his nob in gore
where the scullion's axe in his cheek had shore
an' the scullion stabbed four times four
an' there they lay, an' the soggy skies
dripped all day in upstaring eyes
at murk sunset, an' at foul sunrise

yo ho ho an' a bottle O rum

15 men o 'em stiff an' stark

yo ho ho an' a bottle O rum

10 o the crew had the murder mark
there was cutless swipe, an' ounce O lead
or a yawing hole in a battered head
an' the scuppers run glut with a'rotting red
an' there they lay
AYE!
damn me eyes
all lookouts clapped on paradise
all souls bound just contrarywise

yo ho ho an' a bottle O rum

15 men o'em good an' true

yo ho ho an' a bottle O rum

ev'ry man jack could 'ave sailed with ole Pew

yo ho ho an' a bottle O rum

there was chest on chest O spanish gold
with a ton O plate in middle hold
an' the cabin's riot O stuff untold
an' they lay what took the plum
with sightless glare, an' their lips struck dumb
while we shared all by rule O thumb

yo ho ho an' a bottle O rum

15 men on a dead mans chest

yo ho ho an' a bottle O rum

drink an the devil had done with the rest

yo ho ho an' a bottle O rum

we wrapped'em all in a mains'l all tight
with twice ten turns O a hawsers bight
an' we heaved'em ov'r an' out O sight
with a yo heave ho an' a fair thee well
an' a sudden plunge in a swollen swell
10 fathoms deep on the road to hell

yo ho ho an' a bottle O rum!

Of that album I posted, I think that Pirates of the Black Tide is one of my favorites as it is humorous. There not be much time until the big night, but I will post the lyrics anyway, as they be silly. I know ye will sing what ye will, and I will be singing along with ye, alas here they are:

Pirates of the Black Tide

Words and Music by Gary Powell

Verse 1
We welcome the night as black as our heart
Can’t see, don’t want, never had a naval chart
The thief’s rule of law
Is an appropriation bill
We’re the pirates of the Black Tide
Sailors if you will

Verse 2
It’s no birthday cake if you want our employ
And to be like us is a mistake you will enjoy
When pirates rule the seas
The world’s a better place
We’re the pirates of the Black Tide
We’re a wonderful disgrace

Chorus
We’re the mythical, pinnacle statement of
Your worst-est dream or vocabulary word
We’re tyrannical, mechanical and people say
That we smell like death, you can’t take that away

Verse 3
Yes, we’re your worst fear and we know where you hide
We’ve hidden there before, we don’t care how hard you’ve cried
We’re the bottom of the barrel
When it comes to raising kids
We’re pirates from the North Pole
We know just what you did

Verse 4
We have nightmares too, but we just call them dreams
We’ve taken this yachting thing out to the extreme
We’re Type-A personalities, our therapy’s a sword
We’re the pirates of the Black Tide
We will not be ignored

Bridge
We’re the black-hearted, swashbuckled, never take a shower,
Kind of guys obsessed a bit with fame and power
We’re deplorable, horrible, scull and cross-bone ridden
Living on the ship where nothing is forbidden

Verse 5
Yes, we’re your worst fear and we know where you sleep
So tucky, tuck in I wouldn’t sleep too deep
We’re the worst father figure
Figure out how not to scream
We’re the pirates of the Black Tide
Hope you have sweet dreams

Lily 'o the West
Em C G Em G D Em D G
When first I came to Ireland, some pleasure there to find
G Em C D Em G Em G Em
A damsel there from Lexington was pleasing to my mind
C G Em C D Em G Em G Em
Her rosy cheeks, her ruby lips like arrows pierced my breast.
C G Em G D
The name she bore was Flora
Em D Em
The Lily of the West.

I courted lovely Flora and to her I was so kind,
But soon a tale was told to me, It nearly wrecked my mind.
They say she meets another man, who holds my love in jest
And yet I wanted Flora,
The Lily of the West.

He met her in a shady grove, this man of high degree
I saw him kiss my Flora and it sure did things to me.
She told me he was just a friend, but still I was depressed,
Betrayed was I by Flora,
The Lily of the West.

I stepped up to my rival, my dagger in my hand
I seized him by the collar, it's not hard to understand,
That, blinded by my jealousy, I pierced him in the breast.
I killed a man for Flora,
The Lily of the West.

The trial was held, I made my plea but 'twas of no avail,
Now I await the hangman in a stinkin' rotten jail.
But though I give my all away and though my life is messed,
I love my faithless Flora,
The Lily of the West.

True tis not a true workin' song but played fast an hard it be a blood mover. Peter, Paul an Mary has a fast version, can also be played to the "Lakes 'o Ponchartrain", the theme ta "Gilligans Island",
"House 'o the Rising Sun", "Peaceful Easy Feelin', an "Amazing Grace". I prefers playin' ballads over shanties, more meat in the stories.
