The Arizona Corsair Network

We're discussing a Xmas party, but, instead, how about Our own Corsair's/Pirate New Years' Eve Party?
We can avoid the 'presents' questions/problems, not worry about family obligations, and just throw a blast that 'out of towners' could possibly make, whereas around Xmas is problematic for them.
We can check with Taverns, Local Social events, get a cheap hall, or use someone's yard..I don't think there's a noise restriction THAT night, and it's EXPECTED to run late an get rowdy!
The Captain's are behind this idea, but we want Crew input as to WHERE we can hold this.
SUGGESTIONS PLEASE!!

I would love to have a new years party on the top of south mountain park and see all of the valley fireworks. three reasons it is a bad idea though. it will be cold, no alcohol (only canned beer), and it is probably already booked. oh well.

All the parks are closed on NYE.... just an FYI...... Tried a couple of years now to go to SM to see the fireworks and haven't been able to. Locked up tight.

My house is available or my aunts house has a hot tub. She'll let us use it whenever and its west

Houses are too small, an then we gotta worry about neighboors!

I'' be checking out a motel with a hall for rent tomorrow...it's on 24th St and Van Buren, not the best location, but the price may be right, and they have room for $48.00 per night, so most people won't have to drive home on 'amature night', and we even talked about maybe having a kids room, so the parents can party without worry

Good idea....maybe we can get a group rate.
