I for one had a great time, But again, As last year, we got no support from the club, I understand the whole who needs who aspect, but doesn't change how I feel about the lack of cooperation. Aside from that, I think the customer base was generally glad to see us and interact with us. They had a great time getting pics taken with Pirates and learning about why we were there.
Twas my first TLAP night since the sprog was allowed to go. Don't care too much for the bar scene anymore, but the drum & dance circle ROCKED! I think the crowds that gathered really enjoyed it. Must find a way to have the sword fighting closer to the drum & dance circle next year. They were too far removed from the whole event & the crowds were not aware of it taking place. Perhaps we can rope off an area off to the side. I thought the bar was also too far removed - would be better downstairs. My suggestion is nect year we have Westgate sponsor our event instead of a one bar.
This was my first TLAPD and I was so happy to participate as a dancer. I agree with Anyanka...not much of a bar fan and it was too far away from the dancers and drummers. The drummers rocked and I was so happy to see many of them. I felt disconnected from the entire gang because we were so far away but the location for the dancers and mermaid was great. Next year...I'm a mermaid!!!
