Took the family out on Columbus Day to the Arizona Science Center and went through the Real Pirates exhibit. It was really cool. I liked how it all looked, cool lighting and seeing actual weapons and treasure that belonged to pirates in the 1700's just stirs the imagination.

Til January 15th.
I saw the exhibit, it was really cool. I even negotiated a discounted admission with their "front desk captain" on account of me being a REAL Real Pirate. 10% off. Apparently the Wydah is the only ship wrecked pirate treasure to ever be recovered. There's been other shipwreck treasure, but it's come from Spanish Galleons and merchant ships, but none from actual pirate ships. And not only do you get to see all of this treasure, but you also get to touch some of the coins! Then there's the leg bone and boot from the little pirate kid that was aboard the ship when it sunk, proving that there actually was such a thing as child pirates! Talk about a neat piece of history!
