So, Do ye recognize tha name o' me ship? It's the english translation o' Mananan McLir's ship!..after all, he's not just the god of the dead, but of the sea too!
Aye that be the one that everyone has heard of, a most successful pirate from what I've read, and Captain of her crew yet when people think of female pirates it's Anne Bonney and Mary Read they think of first and maybe Grace as a afterthought. Is this maybe cause her pirating took place mostly in one area while the other two lasses sailed all over the world? Oh well , just idle thinking.
Well considering the feelings between England and Ireland over the years and the sea between the too there should be plenty of pirate lore to speak of in your history and yet I've only heard of the famous Irish Pirate Queen (Irish Queen who happened to be a pirate not Pirate who named herself Queen of pirates) whose name stars with G but can't recall how to spell the rest. Do you know of any others who sailed the seas around these two island nations? My guess is there plenty of them. Are you planning to move to the States or just visit? For a "walk about " or school or some other sensible reason. If you decide to visit Arizona be assured that the Arizona Corsairs will welcome you and show a good pirate time.
