On the spur of the moment I sent my dear friend Drew Hunter the information about Pyrate Con in New Orleans. Drew and I worked together for years in the Haunted House design business. Now days he is the head of design at Sally Corporation in Jacksonville Florida, while I spend my time doing book covers and playing at local Ren Faires. We both love New Orleans and the lure of dressing up like dead pirate was too tempting to pass by. Surprisingly my husband agreed to dig out his pirate garb and go along for the ride.
We loved it. The parade was long but fun. We started out very near the front and ended up last due to the number of people demanding photographs.

We met so many wonderful people, but the names all blur. We are looking forward to next year.
