Moonlight Pirate Jam Pima county

This be a test to see if there be any interest in startin' a jam session fer those dabblin' in the sweet trade. Say 7 to 11pm on a friday or saturday, in an area away from lights noise an mundanity. Possibly on an evening wi' a full moon. No pressure, no unruly audience, just good people (in garb) singin' an havin' fun. Old music becomes new an new music becomes old.

Searchin' through many an old music book I notices a few familiar titles an lines. The Folk music process be a tremendous recyclin' juggernaut. Many 'o me favorites can be traced back ta the 1750's wi' only minor alterations ta verse. Examples I would give ye-

Flora- Peter Paul and Mary- Originally Lily 'o the west.

Santiano- The Highwaymen- Virtually unchanged fer 150 years.

John Barleycorn- Everybody has recorded JB an its roots go WAY back in tyme.
