Cannons are done. The fog cannon is out in the yard for Halloween smokeing away. Last week I took the 5 ft pneumatic/combustion cannon to my office and did a real test fire. I shot the block building with potatos . I can't wait to go camping so I can shoot the HELL!! out of it. At 60 psi I could barley see the potato shoot out. And same for when I hooked up the combustion chamber. I know,I know....... You guys want to see video. As soon as I can get one done, I will post it. If people would like, I could also post some plans if anyone would like. Oh yeah, I checked with A. T. F. web site. THEY ARE NOT !!! considered fire arms as long as the ammunition is potatos or tennis balls and not anything like metal balls, spears , or anything that could be trulely a dangerious or deadly projectile.
Now on a letter from the A. T. F. I found to someone else who was wondering the same of the legallity of potato cannons, it said to check with local county regs. In Cali. no one under 16 can build or posess a spud gun as they are also called. Oh I found another site that said Glendale, and Phoenix, Az. also does not consider them to be firearms.
So to all ME Harties .........F I R E !!!!!!!!! As soon as someone says they want the design.
